Morning Preparations
As the sun peeks over the Houston horizon, my day begins at 6:30 AM. After a quick breakfast and coffee, I check my daily service schedule to map out the most efficient route for today’s HVAC service calls.
First Call of the Day
By 8 AM, I’m at my first appointment, performing a routine maintenance check on a residential AC system. Living in Texas means air conditioning isn’t just a luxury—it’s essential. I thoroughly inspect the system, checking:
• Refrigerant levels
• Air filter condition
• Electrical connections
• Thermostat functionality
• Condenser coil cleanliness
Midday Rush
Around noon, I receive an urgent call about a failing heating system. Even though Houston’s winters are mild, ensuring properly functioning heating systems is crucial for those unexpected cold snaps.
Afternoon Education
One of my favorite parts of the job is educating homeowners about their HVAC systems. Today, I spend time explaining to a client about:
• Energy efficiency tips
• Regular maintenance importance
• Signs of potential system issues
• Filter replacement schedules
End of Day
As I wrap up my final service call around 5 PM, I ensure all paperwork is complete and my van is restocked for tomorrow. It’s satisfying knowing that I’ve helped keep several Houston families comfortable in their homes today.
The most rewarding aspect of working in HVAC services is solving problems and ensuring our customers can rely on their comfort systems year-round. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, no matter what the Texas weather throws at us.
